We recently had the privilege of hosting Prof. Victor Victor Davila-Roman and Prof. Lisa de las Fuentes from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, USA, for a series of discussions on echocardiography and the future of cardiovascular research at the š”š®šš¶š¼š»š®š¹ šš¼šš½š¶šš®š¹ š¼š³ š¦šæš¶ šš®š»šøš®, šš¼š¹š¼šŗšÆš¼ š¦š¼šššµ š§š²š®š°šµš¶š»š“ šš¼šš½š¶šš®š¹, š®š»š± š”š®šš¶š¼š»š®š¹ šš¼šš½š¶šš®š¹ šš®š¹š¹š².
The sessions brought together cardiology consultants, senior registrars, medical officers, and technicians to explore the evolving role of echocardiography beyond routine clinical assessment.
Discussions focused on the potential of echocardiography as a powerful imaging biomarker, the requirements for research-grade cardiovascular imaging, and how artificial intelligence (AI) and multidisciplinary approaches can help address everyday clinical challenges and expand research possibilities.
Our heartfelt thanks to Prof. Davila-Roman and Prof. de las Fuentes for sharing their expertise. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the cardiology teams and hospital leadership at all three institutions for their support in making these sessions a success.
We look forward to building on collaborations to advance cardiovascular care for our patients.
