Our team had the privilege of meeting Dr. Arjuna Fernando, Consultant Cardiologist at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka, following his retirement, to express our sincere gratitude for his valuable contribution to clinical research.
Dr. Fernando served as a Principal Investigator for several of our neurology clinical trials, including TRIDENT and ACT-Global. Throughout these studies, his expertise, leadership, and commitment played an important role in supporting the successful conduct of clinical research and, most importantly, contributing to better outcomes for patients.
Clinical trials are built on collaboration, dedication, and the commitment of investigators who go beyond their clinical responsibilities to contribute to advancing medical knowledge. Dr. Fernando exemplified these qualities through his involvement in our research programmes.
Our visit was an opportunity not only to thank him for his contributions but also to reflect on the lasting value of relationships we build through clinical research. His involvement in our studies has been an important part of our journey, and we are deeply appreciative of the trust, guidance, and professionalism he brought to every collaboration.
As Dr. Fernando begins this new chapter following his retirement, we would like to wish him continued happiness, fulfilment, and success.
Thank you, Dr. Fernando, for your dedication to clinical research, your contribution to our trials, and most importantly, for the difference you have made to patients and the research community.
We are honoured to have had the opportunity to work alongside you and look forward to celebrating the impact of your contributions for years to come.
