RemediumOne and the Clinical Trials Unit at the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka successfully hosted the South Asia Forum for Innovations in Clinical Development for the third time. The forum took place on the 7th December 2023 at the College of Surgeons, Sri Lanka.
We appreciate the participation from regional and global stakeholders in the clinical development sector. We extend our gratitude to our speakers, the FDA delegation, the Chairman, and officials from the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) Sri Lanka, as well as members of the ethics review committee in Sri Lanka. We also thank clinicians and academic and mission aligned industry collaborators who contributed to the event's success.
The following themes were addressed during the event:
1. Exploring the Potential of Polypill in South Asia: A Pathway to Effective and Affordable Solutions for Cardiovascular Diseases
2. Advancing Dengue Prevention and Control in South Asia: Accelerating Clinical Trials for Promising Interventions
The South Asia Forum for 2023 focused on addressing the burden of dengue and cardiovascular diseases in South Asia. By emphasizing preventive actions and control tactics for uncontrolled blood pressure and dengue, the forum seeks to enhance health in South Asia. It provided a collaborative platform for policymakers, experts, healthcare professionals, researchers, and mission aligned industry representatives to propose approaches and drive initiatives for a healthier region.
