RemediumOne celebrates 12 years of success
RemediumOne is celebrating 12th anniversary today. Without our partners and well-wishers, this journey has not been possible.
Our journey was started at Clinical Trials Unit (CTU), Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya by Prof. Asita de Silva in 2007 with a high impact, policy changing Investigator Initiative trial. In 2009, RemediumOne was established to bring execution efficiency in the trial conduct. So far, we have completed more than 30 industry sponsored and 15 academic trials without any major or critical findings.
Many of the molecules trialed in Sri Lanka have helped solving critical diseases and most of them are marketed globally as well. It gives joy to us, Investigators, and our partners when patients, the most important stakeholders of clinical trials are benefited using those medications. We are hoping that few of our current landmark studies Dengue vaccine and Hypertension polypill studies would bring better solutions to healthcare problems in near future.
Sri Lanka’s regulatory landscape also getting matured along with RemediumOne. In 2019, Legislations for conducting clinical trials in Sri Lanka was gazetted and enacted in March same year. More investigators have joined our team to conduct meaningful trials which would address health issues in Sri Lanka i.e., NCDs, infectious diseases, rare diseases more prevalent in Sri Lanka and diseases related to aging.
We look forward to be a partner for Global Centers of Excellence in Sri Lanka on new scientific projects.
